Overtuning
An advanced and highly technical process central to high-level soulkeeping, which involves inducing controlled combustion within the soul plane during resonance in order to accelerate soulfire generation. Properly managed, it leads to exponential growth in soulfire production, at the cost of being highly unstable and requiring extreme focus. Any outside disturbance or combustion runs the risk of misaligning a resonance cycle, and rendering the user unconscious by thus disinfusing the body. At sufficiently over-capacity resonance, even a single hit can be sufficient.
Notably, though it depends heavily upon the shape of the user's soul, this process is highly procedural, and thus easily automated by a daemon. Such daemons are referred to as injectors, and are somewhat rare, given they often cannot be made for others and require a high level of comfort with phlogistic computing. More often than not, most soulkeepers simply learn the process as muscle memory, which while unreliable and messier, is easier to perform in practice.
