Canopy Longnose
The main pollinator of Arenfürich, they resemble lemurs with exceptionally long noses suited to nectar-hunting, and long rainward tails suited to grasping wet branches. Various species cater to the various flowering trees of the rainforest, dashing among the upper canopy with the aid of powerful legs and a light frame. For this reason, they are sometimes referred to as skippers. Some common species include the wine-back, the redcoat, and the gold-glow.
One especially common species of longnose is the feathered longnose, known for the waterproof sheen of its dark feathers. Some time ago, the Áren nobility were able to domesticate and breed the species to possess beautiful streaks of bright red, blue, magenta, cyan, violet, and gold. It is one of the more common pets for a noblewoman, favored for its restrained beauty with streaks of enticing emotion and vibrancy.
